Chrome for the Win!!!

This was an extremely close Foal Pool. Every one's date guesses were close together and many of you had similar chrome guesses. I was amazed to have guessed correctly for once. I was only off by a few days and a few socks :)

Matching tilt, pretty girls

Roscoe and Tawe certainly did not disappoint with this filly. Her breeder took a chance at a last minute breeding to Roscoe and it paid off with a pretty, cobby, big girl with a super personality.

So here is how the scoring worked:
The pool started with 20 points
The number of days away from the actual birth date were subtracted from the 20
Correct Gender was +1 point
Incorrect Gender was -1 point
Correct Chrome/Color Bonus +1 each
No points were lost for incorrect chrome/color guesses

First off, notice that Carly was spot on for her date of birth! She wins a $10 RW gift card. Sadly, she did not get any bonus points to take the overall win.

Then notice... we have a tie between Alli and Alanna. Bonus points for chrome for the win. Each will get a $20 RW gift card, but I had to figure out a tie breaker for the THT give a way.

In the end. I messaged them and asked the age old question:

"Heads or Tails?"

And the winner is, by my co worker's neutral coin flip, Alli!
Carly, Alanna and Alli FB message me or email, equinpilot@yahoo.com your email addresses so I can send your cards. If your email is still the same one as last year, just leave a comment. Alli I will forward your contact information to THT so you can collect your prize.
Thank you everyone for participating! Hopefully we will have another Foal Pool next year.

Christmas Pictures and RW Winners!

Okay before you find out the winners... you have to look at pictures of my ponies. Yes, totally a hard job, but try to enjoy it :)

Almost every year I test my horses by putting christmas decorations on them. My horses are saints when it comes to dealing with me and my schemes. Ember did really well and only took exception to one little bell. He got over it with time though.

First up is the wooden santa with a bell on the beard.

Hmm, one is not like the others...

Next the wooden tree, which Roscoe broke off the "Y" and so I skipped him. So there is a baby picture of him wearing the tree.

Baby Roscoe

Then I changed to the green hat with a bell

Resigned to my type of crazy

Alwasy happy

"TREATS NOW"

Then I added the garland and stocking. I had a plan and everyone needed to wear the same thing.

Seriously...

My super model

Fitting right in

And finally I added the stockings

Like any little kid...

None are big enough for me!!!

Grey Boys Win!

Are we done yet?

The orginal pair

I saw this picture on Facebook and wanted to recreate it with my horses. Took some work, but it came out okay.

And now the winners!!!
Names were picked out of hat by my Dad as he walked in the door tonight.

For the $20 Gift Card: Kelly at Princess Diva & The Duchess Diaries

For the $40 Gift Card: Carly at Poor Woman Showing

PS: Emma email me so I can send you your gift card for the Foal Pool!!!

Email me at equinpilot@yahoo.com so I can send your gift card.

Thank you EVERYONE who participated! I enjoyed reading what your favorite RW items are and finding new blogs to follow. You all made my 500th post a memorable one.

The Winner is...

Me!!! Just kidding. I did win by having everyone participate and or read the contest post. I really enjoyed the funny stories and seeing what type of treats your horse would like.

I did a random draw for the winner, but I decided to test Jen's luck from Cob Jockey. She has won three contests so she did not enter this one. I put her name for fun.

I am sad to report that her name was not drawn. I guess her contest luck was used up.

So who won? Five people entered and the one I picked: LOLA from Your Average Equestrian

Please send your information to equinpilot@aol.com.

Now it is time for our belated Thanksgiving dinner. Hope you all had a great weekend!
